The patina is a real nice brown color & I do not see a single patina chip

The patina is an extra nice lite white colour

This is the harder one to find with an uncut nose & deeper cavity

Saddle Shields, Era Unknown Button The patina is a realHere are a couple saddle shields I had listed at TennesseeLead a couple years ago but I removed because I could not tell you they were from the civil war eraI still cant. I have kept my eyes open & these shields do pop up from time to time. A very similar shield can be found at Virginia Civil War Relics under misc. excavated items that is stamped with a 3. These shields may not be CW but they do not appear to be fakes. Any info you provide I will list
