Green Purnell Year:2 YR A mild sharp Welsh ciderA rare late Worcestershire eating apple. Bright green although develops a lovely red orange colour by the end of October. Sweet flesh. Fully ripe by November, keeps well. Although brought to the attention of the National Fruit Trials in 1945, it is believed to be an old variety, although not much else is known about its history. Triploid.
