The once noble fabric has faded over time, losing its charms to the modern day fashion wave. A revival of lurik calls for a new and invigorating rhythm of composition with respect towards its soulful origins. Parts of Nguri Uri Lurik are woven out of fabric waste in the studio. To make one metre of this fabric, we are repurposing five
