1960 Silkscreen By Eldon Grier Kitchen Pink marble apple with brassBorn in England and raised in Montreal, Grier was a notable Canadian poet and artist. After beginning his career he travelled to Mexico in 1945 to study fresco painting and apprenticed under Diego Rivera as a plasterer. In 1955 after travelling to Spain, Grier began writing poetry and transitioned to that art form because he felt that meaning was expressed more effectively though words.
