Your opponent decides what to discard, both during the resolution and indirectly by deciding which cards to hold back on their turn as fodder for further discard spells
While, in our ideal world, we'll grow it a bit before it dies so we can reanimate something bigger, this isn't always possible, and getting no reanimation value from its death is brutal
But I dont think people have fully processed this new ability we collectively unlocked
