These pickles are my great grandmother, Mama Hacys bread and butter style pickles. As a kid I could eat a whole jar if no one was watching. They are quite savory and lightly sweetened. The turmeric gives them that yellow glow and flavors them wonderfully, along with the onions, bay leaves, cloves, celery
