Kosaka Shiden - 小坂芝田（1872-1917） Study Chairs Inspired by Italian designer MarioBorn in Ozawa Village, Kosaka san studied Chinese poetry under Komuro Shigehiro and Nanga painting under Maruyama Soya. He then studied under the great Kodama Katei. In 1890, he moved to Tokyo and in the same year won a second class commendation at the Nania Art Association Exhibition. In 1893, he won a third class commendation at the 28th Japan Art Association Exhibition, and in 1897, he won a second class commendation at the 32nd Japan Art
